Is it a good idea or bad idea to use thread locker on bolts threaded into aluminum, such as an intake? My thought is the locker is a lube while it's wet, so it can cause over tightening and possibly stripping the aluminum.

I use the medium (blue) thread locker on aluminum (with usually stainless fasteners) all the time and have yet to have one gall. Works just as good as antiseize and locks to boot.

Blue is Ok, but you have to use heat to get red thread locker apart again.

Thanks everyone. I googled my question as well and noticed some say use only antisieze for both stainless steel and steel fasteners when threaded into aluminum due to the dissimilar metal corrosion issue. If you have used blue thread locker with no problems, then it should be fine. I definitely won't use the red. Thanks.
