Ok, I have discovered a new problem (of course). I finally got the '67 out for a test drive, and discovered some sort of idling problem...at least I think that's what it is. It's a 305 SBC with a Quadrajet carb. I can turn the key and it immediately starts up and purrs like a kitten. High idle is fine, and after it warms up, low runs fine too. I can rev the engine and it doesn't choke out at all...sounds great. I take it out for a drive, and once I start slowing down and come to a stop, the engine dies unless I hit the gas. Any ideas?

Have you solved this problem yet? There is a dashpot (what I call it) mounted under the throttle at the carb that slows down the throttle return that will help with this problem.

Great! Thanks for the input. I was sick earlier this week so I didn't get to do any playing around with it. I'll check into it this evening or tomorrow.
