hey, need some help. I am removing my Warn OD from a Dana 18. Everything was going along well as I was following instructions I found on internet. I got down to were I removed the special snap ring. That went fine. The next instruction was to reach in there and remove the special lock washer with some needle nose pliers. I can't get that thing to budge. Am I missing something, or is there a trick to this anyone can share? Thanks

It's probably just jammed. You might try gently tapping it with a punch to see if you can free it up. Usually they just fall out. It's been awhile since I pulled one, but you may also be able to get a 1/4" or 3/8" extension to fit in it so you can turn it a little and free it up. They are a PITA to put back in too. A little heavy grease will hold it in place while you try to fight that snapring back in. Use a new one, don't re-use the old one.
