Electronic Distributor Static Timing

    Can the electronic distributor I got from Walck's, looks Chinese to me, be static timed using a VOM? It has positive and negative leads on it and 1 I don't want to screw it up and 2 will a
    meter show when the ignition should fire?

    I always just get timing marks on crank TDC ,then eyeball rotor and cap for number 1 - then use timing light

    Yeah, but I was hopin for something a little more accurate to start with. Any other ideas?
