Hi, I finally got my V6 back into the frame, however, is there a way to test the clutch assembly to make sure everything is working properly before I put the body back on?

    Thanks

Yes - you can hook all the linkages up with the pedals in place without the tub being on.

That depends on whether the clutch is mechanical or hydraulic. If it is hydraulic, you could still use something like a come-along ot perhaps even a set of ViseGrip chain pliers to pull back the release arm and at the same time check to see how much travel is required to release. That will take a lot of guess work out of selecting the slave unit and how you mount it. Strongly recommend the cast throwout arm if going hydraulic.

Ya - I assumed you were keeping the stock pedal setup.

When I did my frame off and did all the drive train work and new brakes etc. I temp mounted the grill with the radiator. Mounted a temp fuel tank and an old wooden chair and drove it around my back yard several times and by putting the transfer case in low range, I was able to run it in all three gears for test. Fun Fun Fun. I had everything right at that point so I went to work on the rest of the body parts.
