gas gauge

    I want to put a auto meter gas gauge in my 66 cj5, how do I match it to the stock sending unit. there has to be a simple way :(

    You need to find out he operating ohm range of the stock fuel sender. I don't know if that information is given in the FSM. I'm almost certain it is not the 0 - 90 ohm unit. I have a 0 - 90 ohm sender in an aux. tank I have and it wouldn't work with the stock gauge. That leaves you with 2 or 3 ohm ratings to chose from.
