Do these rebound clips look right?

My new set of Omix stock type springs all have open rebound clips. Shouldn't these be closed around the top of the spring? It looks like these clips are for a spring with more leaves. I figured I'd ask before they were installed. If they need to be closed I guess I can hammer them over before I install the spring.

On my 75, they are closed at bottom. The ones you have look to me to be to big.

They're fine. All they really need to do is hold the sides of the leafs together.

+1. Shape of the clips is just a design choice. The open clips may be perceived as better, because they let the leaves flex more. Debatable. The main problem with these would be interference with the tierod, but if they don't interfere, then no problem.

OK, I'm not going to worry about it. Since this is my first Jeep restoration such details are new to me, I'm learning though. Thanks
