I know it needs to land somewhere if someone would be so kind as to shoot a quick picture of where I would really appreciate it. I'm thinking there is a metal ring that might hang off of that bolt right in front of the hook? This is the spring that comes off the clutch fork vehicle is a 1970 CJ5 with V6.

The spring should be anchored in as straight a line as possible so as to eliminate any sideways/up/down drag and with enough tension to insure full retraction. I made a simple bracket and bolted it to the front of bell-housing using the upper dust shield bolt.
