    All,

I have tried the search, and didn't get the results I was looking for. Was hoping you could help me out. I have a 59 and am looking to get new springs in either stock or 1" lift height. Does anyone have and problems with the OMIX replacement springs as I was planning on ordering, or am I better off going with the 1" lifts springs by Rancho? Any opinions or experience either way??

    Thanks guys!

I had the Ranchos & did not like them-very stiff riding & not much flex.

FWIW, I've seen some of the "stock" replacement springs come with a cheap banding on the leaves. As in it looks like hose clap material to keep the leaves from fanning out. Either they rust off in a year, or break if you try and flex 'em too much. Just an observation, not that you're gonna flex a 10 leaf spring that much anyways.

Thanks for the tip, I guess I really can't compare with the photos, but I get a better feeling buying the replacement springs from a place called "Kaiser Willys" than I do from buying Omix from 4wd hardware.

Will take a look at the leaf banding.
