My exhaust noise/leak now appears to be a manifold leak so I will be investigating and probably replacing the manifold gaskets. The last time I did this I noticed that the cup gaskets or as Jeep calls them "clamps" were getting worn and distorted. They may be deforming and in any case I don't like the way they look so I want to replace them.

Is there an alternative or better option to get improved clamping?

I believe they are P/N 318-9219 and I can't seem to find a source. Anyone have a source or are they a junk yard pull?

Try taking some off of a 4.0L at the junkyard. My 258 has a mix of originals and a handful of 4.0L ones that a junkyard employee gave me.

    Junk yard for sure.
The factory ones are thick "cups", not washers by any stretch of the imagination.
mine had a couple of doubled up washers in one spot and they had turned inside out
