I'm thinking of draining my rear mounted gas tank to clean it out and replace the sending unit at the same time. Any input on the best/ easiest way to proceed?

remove 3" rubber hose between filler neck and tank - siphon gas in filler hole - floor jack with 10"X10" . worked for me . also skid plate bolts REAR I welded flat washers to bolt heads . ground off 1/2 of washer . no need for wrench on top anymore

siphon as much gas as you can then get a buddy to help. a good floor jack and big peice of plywood to lower and raise the tank and a friend to stablize it.
