Tub Swap?

    I have the opportunity to buy an in fairly good condition Cj5 tub for $100. My question is can I put the tub from a 55 cj5 onto my 1973 cj5?

    Yes. Tubs measure the same.

    Is there alot of work involved? I mean Im going to leave to see this tub in about 20 min and Im quite excited about it.

    Some. Never saw one just fall on. :) Will need to drill some holes in the firewall and some welding on the drivers side floor. You will see when you look at it. Good luck.

    The size and shape is the same. The mounts are in the same places. Some details change, like the dash and location of the gas tank. The firewall changes some because of the change in the heater location and the change to swinging pedals. The "JEEP" script on the cowl changes. But mostly the same. $100 is a deal if it's in good shape.
