Well, I took my planned conversion radiator in to the radiator shop to be checked and it came back as bad. It's been repaired already and really only suitable for re-coring ~ $180 up. It was a stock F134 radiator with the lower outlet moved to the passenger side.

I've got a NOS 4 cylinder radiator, that is probably good but untested, itwill fit a later grill and I still have my original 4 cyl radiator that I know has been repaired.

I'm looking for input, should I

    a. look for a later grille, use the NOS 4 cyl radiator and have the lower outlet moved.

    or

    b. use something like this from Griffin/Summit and mod my grill.

    or

    c. other suggestions

    or

d.sell my cj5 on ebay, since I getting sick of this conversion process and the $$$ I'm spending without getting closer to putting the V6 in.

Check around see if you can find one for commando. Had to do that one and it worked out ok. You'll still have to modify the grille shell. Thats not to hard.

Joel, Billy an Glenn are biased so remove them from the equation if you still want the V6. :D
When I first bought my jeep it had a radiator out of a much later 6 cylinder Jeep I think it was. The radiator fit but was not quite right. You do realize that you can by a new radiator from Turner? I know $360 is a bucket load of money. The best bet is to look around and if you have to, go with one of the aluminum radiators or find something in a pick and pull that looks like its gonna fit with some mods. I could look around here for you but most things around here are gonna need recored but I will soon find out what it cost to have one recored anyway. If you need any help finding one and will chance it let me know!!!!

Would a RWD 231 car have the right Rad? I know my dad swapped in something bigger on Dutch, seem to recall it was out of something full slzed. It was done while on vacation somewhere, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a custom deal.

 Billy, did you hear that? We're biased. Knowing that the V6 guys aren't, I now feel ashamed. Don't you too?
