skid plate for clutch and brake pedals

I still have the through the floor pedals, and more than once I have gotten hung up on them while four wheeling. It sucks, because it dis engages the clutch and applies the brakes. This weekend I actually bent the cross shaft. Has anyone ever built a skid plate to protect these?

I think most people after a while of issues with it end up putting in the swinging pedals. But if you wanted to keep your style then im sure somthing could be fabbed up to protect them.

 

I have thought about converting to hanging pedals, but I don't have any room in the engine compartment. The setup I have works fine, until I hit the rocks that is.
