It's not easy, a standard steering wheel puller won't work. I used a bearing separator to get mine off. It worked but I did mess up the threads on the steering column so be careful.

if you protect the nut and threads good iv simply pulled on the wheel real hard with my left hand while hammering down the column with my right. Two people would work better. Seems to do the trick but again the column threads are very fragile

I whacked mine with a hammer real good on the under side and she popped right off.

I wish I had gone that route since my wheel was damaged to begin with and, like I said earlier, I ended up damaging the threads on the column. I think I can repair the threads, though.

I removed my wheel by using Moses Ludel's method. loosen of the nut but leave it on the end of the threads, but a soft metal washer on the spike of your air chisel, will pulling up on the wheel drive the shaft down with the chisel. Popped mine off in about 2 minutes. Make sure the washer protects the shaft from the hardened chisel.

I used the same method as 1959willys. Got the puller snugged up tight and whacked the bolt head with a hammer, popped right off.
