original vacumn line to wipers

    I'm trying to figure out how the vacumn line to the windshield wipers was routed. Many I am looking for the location from the engine to the dash. Did they use rubber line from the engine to the frame and then metal line to the firewall? Oh, and I should mention that I am talking about a 1955 CJ5.

    I have a '59 and it is a one-piece rubber line that goes from the fuel pump through the firewall, through the dash, and then up to the wiper motor.

    Clear vinyl line will work.

    You have to have the two stage fuel pump for it to work right.
