What is the best way to remove a flywheel from a 232? I was going to use an impact wrench but I am afraid of breaking the bolts off in the crankshaft.

Thanks Patrick. I happened to be reading another thread where a guy broke the vibration damper bolt off in the crankshaft with an impact wrench and was worried about doing it with the flywheel.

If it's going to break, it's going to break whether you use an impact or loosen by hand..

Soak the heck out of it with penetrating oil.

X2 and after that go for impact...you could try a rachet but may result on turning the motor crank instead of flywheel bolt...that the main reason for using a impact tools!!!

I used an impact wrench and removed the flywheel today. All the bolts came out with no issues. Thanks for the input guys.
