    Bettina Patina. Quite endearing.

Plowing is hard duty ... esp. for a light vehicle like this.

What's with the aluminum frame on the windshield?

There's a couple M38 frames for sale near me, if you're looking to go that way. Otherwise that is an excellent place to hone your welding skillz.

I know a guy who is a welder, and he said sometimes you can weld them and they will hold. I dunno, never tried it. I have to get more info on how to do it.

SIDSCJ and Howard, I have a 3B frame and the whole rear is rotted out but from the tranny crossmember forward is in really nice shape. The layers of grease did its job over the years. :) I am contemplating splicing the two together.

timgr, I have to freakin idea. I have another 2A ws frame with the inner windshield frame, but it is all rotted out. :( I'm going to try to repair it and put it on this jeep.

Why not weld a plate in there? Seems this is one area that you can not over beef even if it will see lighter duty then the jalopy.

Pitch that whole bushing thing you wanted to go mono leaf front anyway right? jk.

Curious where you are going with these seats. Looks great so far keep it up.

I think I'm going to cut the front frame off and weld in the CJ3B front section I mentioned. While I'm at it, I'll change out the springs too. Someone along the line swapped backs to front... I have a great idea as to what to do with this thing. :D

Been a while since I've touched this project, but I welded the frame together as a temporary fix. Luckily the springs are so shot that they hardly put any force on it. R)

I also cleaned up the engine compartment and moved the push button starter so I could start it from the INSIDE. What a novel idea!!! R) I gave her a new(ish) generator, which charges the 12v battery, + battery leads, and some other small misc. parts. All parts had the correct patina on them so no one would ever know... :)

Thanks! The more I look at this thing, the more and more I like it. I don't know why it looks cool with all the rust and flaking paint...

For some reason, I felt the need to stage a rescue mission with my 3A.

Major progress today. I removed all the random switches (pretty nice ones too). and I put the correct inner windshield frame in it. It's nice having fresh air!!!

My donor windshield frame. The out is very rotted and the inner has some rot. Oh well, it was free and it adds character! :D Now I have a great looking farm jeep!

I was thinking of removing the half cab, but I like it with the doors off and the windshield open. Keeps the sun off.

Next major project is replace the front springs! I have a set in my junk 3B that is in pretty good shape.
