Wiper motor on 50's CJ..

Where, on a '53 M38a1, could I put an electric windshield wiper motor? Did other 50's CJ's have them in the same place as the later models? From pics I've seen, drivers side lower windshield, correct? Would I be able to pull the mechanism off any CJ and bolt it on my '53?

Another thought, I've seen those manual wipers in JC Whitney. I think they would look kinda cool and be something of a conversation piece, but are most likely kind of a p-i-t-a when you actually have to use them. Any expierence?

I don't really plan on using my Jeep for a daily driver. If it looks like it might rain, I probably wouldn't drive it anyway. But, in KS, the weather changes about every 10 seconds, so some wipers might be prudent. Right now I use RainX
