    Hi there guys,

I've got a 63 CJ6 that I've been trying to restore for the past several years. One of the problems is the guys that have had the body are so slow its painful. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good body resto guy in the Minneapolis area?

    Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem, body shops make their money on insurance work, so custom works gets the backburner. I found an old retired guy that worked out of a truck that liked doing custom work, he came to my house and charged me $25 an hour and knew what he was doing. Too bad he's in NorCal.

What are you expecting the body shop to do? Metal work on a Jeep is usually pretty simple - much easier than on most passenger cars.

    Maybe try advertising on Craigslist?

You might also ask for advice on the autobody101 forum. That forum caters to serious amateurs and pros mostly. http://www.autobody101.com/forums/

I'm looking for metal work and paint work. I don't do either of those and I want my Jeep to look right, so i need some help in that department.

I have heard of people finding pros that do work on the side, through Craig's list. Might be worth a try.
