Searched and Searched, just thought I'd ask.

Has anyone ever figured out a way to put a side mount spare on a fiberglass tub?? I know the ripping it off factor, but I like the look and really only use it on the street or wide dirt roads. Post up your methods for getting the side mount spare on a Fibergalss tub, and how it is working.

    Much appreciated!!!

i think that a steel plate on the inside of the tub and on the wheelwell with a couple braces in between will stiffen it up. IMHO i wouldnt do it on a fiberglass tub, steel tubs have trouble with the weigth. i cant see the tub not cracking even with only street driving.

2x, even with bracing back to the wheel well, I think there will be problems. It was a very poor location to start with and am sure it was chosen only because it was the cheapest route.
