I'm ordering a master cylinder and everyone lists it from 1949 to 1966, then 1968 starts with cowl dual cylinders. I'm hoping the frame mounted '66 fits the '67 andt they didn't have a unique cylinder for that one year. I'll find out in a few days.

Dual chamber MC were all the same '67 to '71, although you'll find some minor variations in the castings that don't affect how they will fit. The firewall-mounted MC didn't come in until '72 when AMC made all the changes.

About all you are going to find for the floor-mounted dual MC are rebuilts unless you get really lucky.

    <edit> (from another post)

    Try these part numbers:

    Wagner MC56193
    Cardone 101292
    Dorman M56193
    Bendix R11373

All of these are dual-chamber, and have the threaded port in the bottom for the brake light switch.

Just to clarify, the dual reservoir came along for the '68 models; '67 was single reservoir.

    supertrooper,

I had ABS power brake in Orange rebuild my existing '69 master cylinder

    http://www.abspowerbrake.com/

They did a good job for about $80

It's been swapped. The dual reservoir didn't come factory until 1968.

Parts books show a dual MC for a '67 model CJ-5. Perhaps it was an option in '67?

This wouldn't be the first Jeep oddity that showed up crossing model years..

Carl Walck had some new dual-circuit frame-mount MCs last time I was shopping...

I changed the MC in my '67 CJ5 last night. Got the new cylinder from Walck's for $45 plus $6.50 for shipping, arrived in two days. I ordered the '49 to '66 CJ5 single MC and it was identical to what was in my '67. So that worked for me.
