Anyway I NEED HELP. So I am wrestling with getting my windshield wipers to work. I have no idea what color wires go to which prongs on the back of the wiper switch. I have a yellow power wire (connected to the ignition switch for power), red wire, black wire, and green wire (these go to the wiper motor) and then my ground wire.

Which wire goes on what prong on the wiper switch (factory original switch).

Im trying to complete my jeep before the storm hits us out here in northern Illinois.

Believe it or not, I used the Haynes guide for this one. Use the diagram for the 72/73. The color coding was not mentioned, but i hooked up all 3 wires to the switch and it worked....:flag:

I have the Chiltons manual and it does not say where the wires go.

However I feel a fool, after an hour screwing around with this I decided to do a google search thinking that this would be such an obscure jeep question that my search would bring nothing. Well wouldnt ya know it was in the first ten results that popped up lol.

Anyway, a new question, how the heck do I get my wipers to work properly? They seem to go to far down to one side and never actually wipe over the drivers portion of the windshield. How do I fix this?

I had to play with mine. Mine are set up so that the driver side blade is approx 45* and the tip of the blade is on the vertical center line of the windshield. IIRC I had to bump the motor until it was in position where the rod would attatch while leaving the blade in the proper position. :flag:
