I have a 4.27 rear diff on my 69 cj5. I am trying to calculate which driven gear I need to buy but I don't know how many drive teeth I have. Does anyone know or know how I can figure it out?

Calculating 31 inch tires, 4.27 ratio, and 6 tooth drive gear I would need a 17 tooth driven gear, but I can't seem to find a place that makes such a gear.

Nobody makes gears anymore that I know of. Walck's, Krage, or R&P sometimes have good used gears..

I went to an after market VDO Electric speedo and sender. You go through a set of driving steps and it programs itself... Works real well and can be changed if you change your setup.
