Well I went to the eye doc and had metal bits removed from my eyes. Not fun.

What were the dimensions for stock tires on a 55? I don't want to strain the little 4 banger, but I do want to get as much rubber under the thing as I can get.

There is a guy in College Station that sells the bits that go between the frame and the body, but it sounds as if it may just be rubber bits.

Does anyone know of a good place to get stock bushings or bushings that would give a "1" body lift?

    Best,

    CK

Stock tire size on my 59 was 670-15. Yours is probably the same or 600-16 if the rims are 16"

You can use ice hockey pucks for a 1" lift.

Don't go overboard with the body lift... the pedals won't work.

If you do that, then use valve springs for added flex like I did:
