I just aquired a 69 jepster which the first thing is brakes....Has 10 inch drums front and rear. Plan on using this jeep for street and dirt roads. My question...will these brakes be enough with a power booster added and where do I buy all the new parts at resonable prices??? I'll have a lot more question before I;m riding. Thanks Davis

10" brakes with a booster are adequate, 11" are better but does require changing out front and rear backing plates, drums, wheel cylinders etc. Power boosters from a CJ or even early YJ can be made to work. I've never done a YJ booster conversion but shouldn't really be too hard. http://www.piratejack.net/ has pretty reasonable prices on new boosters and master cylinders. The PBUJ7486 would work although I believe the master may be for disc brakes. I'd probably look for an original drum brake Jeepster or CJ booster first simply because you know the master will work. You will need a new master anyway whatever way you go. You could check out http://stores.homestead.com/Partsdude4x4/StoreFront.bok

You may want to stay under 9 inches to avoid issues with clearing your valve covers.I say that but cannot remember what I bought to put in mine.
