Getting a AMC V8 in the frame. Tricks?

    It took me several months to find the correct combination. At the time I could not find any after market mounts. This was 7+ years ago and it was tough to find. However, this is what makes the journey so much fun.

    I think the issue is that you need V8 mounts from a CJ, since they are different from V8 mounts from a Wagoneer. Since the CJ never came with a 360, this necessarily rules out 360 block brackets. But the 304 was offered in the Wagoneer and J-truck for a few years, so being block brackets from a 304 is not sufficient... they have to come from a CJ 304.

    AFAIK. (Having only watched this issue develop in other threads).
