Walcks has 2 options - one american made, one foriegn made. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with replacement springs? Other than price, is there any difference between american made and foriegn made springs.

So Gerry, do you want stock height replacement leaf springs, or a
    mild suspension lift?
The BDS springs to which Billy refers are suspension lift springs. Most of us go for a 2.5" lift. That's mild enough that it doesn't have as much negative impact on the steering and driveline as a 4" lift. With a 2.5" lift, you would need longer shocks, maybe a tcase lowering block. That's about it.

As for Carl's USA or imported stock height springs... :?
Normally if I have a choice and no other input I'll buy American.
I don't know anything about the springs that Carl has.

The BDS springs come with a lifetime, no questions warranty...

You might look at ESPO too - http://www.espo.com/ They have pretty good prices for stock replacements. I've heard of no complaints, and much praise. They used to offer mild lifts, 1" or 2". Did read recently that they are getting out of the truck replacement spring business, so they may be limited to stock on hand.

I got stock replacement springs from Walck's for my wagon. He's picky about what he sells, if he's not satisfied with the quality he won't sell it. Of course I agree with buying American made too if possible.

ESPO looks like a good source for replacement springs. Apparently, they are USA made, nicely priced and final arched for uniformity. Thanks for the link.
