LED front running lights

Anyone have a good source for LED style front running/turn signal lights that go in the grill? I'm guessing the lights for an intermediate CJ are the same as a late model CJ? I'm looking for a set to compliment my rear LED brake lights on the buggy.

Check NAPA, also, if you already have the lamp units, you can get just a bulb with LEDs to replace the original bulb.

In case you weren't aware of it, some flasher units will not work with LEDs-----so if your turn signals wont work, check the flasher.

 

a 2" flush mount trailer side marker light should work. any auto parts store will have them. might need to make the mounting in the grill holes bigger if you have the round flush utility truck type taillights the marker light will match.

hey , I fit LEDs in the blackout lights of my M38A1 grille they work fine on blinker ,the new store bought flashers don't work though , I grabed some stockers out of a junkyard from old 60s GM cars .I don't have parking lights so they just blink..... no running lights.

 

These are surface mount trailer lights. The vendor had them in 2.5" at one time but that guy went out of busines. Google "surface mount LED trailer lights " on ebay.

 

Are those trailer lights able to do the turn signal function also?

They work as turn signal and running lights. If you Google or search ebay you may find those 2.5 " that will probably fit in the light bucket your turn signal lights have.

 

Some LEDs work with the standard flasher. However, from what I read an LED flasher is usually indicated. I bought my flasher from superbrightleds. I also bought the LED lights from them when I converted to LED front running and tail lights. They also work as turn signals. I used the 24 LED 1157 lights. The LED lights need to be the same color as the lens.. So red for tail lights and orange for orange front turning lights. I suppose you could use orange LEDs with a clear lens up front.
