    Hey Guys.

    I made a major ****up.

Bought parts for a 258, and i afterwards realized that my engine is a 232 3.8 litre.

    I bought:
    Main crankshaft bearings set
    Connection rod bearings
    Piston ring set
    Upper engine gasket set
    Lower engine gasket set

Witch of theese parts will fit my 232 engine? :S

The only difference is the 232 crankshaft has a shorter stroke than the 258 and uses longer rods and maybe different pistons.

You can check the compatibility of the parts yourself. Go to www.rockauto.com and look up your engine parts. Write down the part numbers. Then look at parts for the same year/model Jeep with a 258. Compare numbers. Simple.

I predict they will all be the same.

also on rockauto if you click the part number it will bring up a list of other applications for that part; it may not work in this instance but it is a good thing to know.

I love a happy ending. haha, good luck with the rebuild. Maybe even document it, with pictures and prices, as I have been thinking about a budget rebuild on my 258.
