Sometimes the obvious confuses me..... I have a 70 CJ 225.

I'm looking at the front of my starter, which has no letters or designations on it, on the top is a large stud I'm assuming is where my positive battery cable and alternator power wire goes, then in the 3 o'clock position I have a small stud does the ignition switch go there, then down on the main body of the starter at the 6 o'clock position I have a long stud slightly larger then 3 & 9 o'clock studs but smaller then 12 o'clock with no nuts on it, lastely we come around to the 9 o'clock position which I have another stud the same size as the 3 o'clock stud does a line from my resistor/coil and solenoid power land here?

    12 o'clock =

    3 o'clock =

    6 o'clock =

    9 o'clock =

I am doing a rewire with an EZ kit FYI.

    Thanks in advance.

I read that post and about 20 other posts but my description of my setup and his sound quite different? I will try to take a picture later and see if that helps?

Note the big stud at the top is positive battery cable.
Small stud to the right will go to the "S" (start) terminal on Ignition switch.
Bottom big stud with threaded hole will connect the flat strap to starter.
Longer small stud (to the left) will have a small wire connecting to the "+" terminal on the coil or at the ballast resistor terminal that has the wire going to the coil.
