about front cage sections that bolt to where the dash meets the tub, like the rockhard cages? I am not a super big guy, but i like being able to get in and out easily because i am constantly helping other people spot and what-not. i also want to keep my E-brake stock and functional so i dont want to block it. is it "safe to bolt to the tub at the dask and run angle iron or something like that behind the dash to tie to the floor and in the future the frame? What i am mostly concerned with is being able to put my windshield down without feeling like i am going to die. the other thing is how do we feel about the tube kits like patricks that have the sleeve in the middle of the front hoop. I don't think i would buy the kit either way, but i know lots of guys with benders and i have some heavy duty either Hrew or heavy wall pipe that would be long enough if i did the sleeve in the middle. I just want to know if it is safe. I want to be able to take my nieces out when the time comes and feel like they are safe.

FWIW, in my opinion, the two piece hoop is just as strong, if welded properly.

Also, FWIW, it took me about 3 days to get used to the front down tubes as far as getting in and out of the Jeep. It's a none issue now.

so would you put a insert inside the two tubes weld it and then a sleeve ontop? or just the one inside so the outside is flush? can you still use the e-brake?

I put a sleeve on the inside, chamfered the ends, and welded it. Hot, lots of penetration.
I use the parking brake every day..;)
