Well, after proceeding to break off a cheap easy out (I do know better, its just all I had on hand), I was attempting to extract the easy out, and I inadvertantly pushed it all the way through the stud hole. The broken tip disappeared.......... Is it in the water jacket???? Will it just sit there, or will it circulate under high RPMs.... I have no idea how to retreive the broken peice, but I'm pretty sure it cant stay in there right???? ANY ANY ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!

really wouldnt worry too much about it. I had a rocker stud break off in a sbc a few years back, and the only option was to knock it on thru into the water jacket. ran it for two years before i decided to do a rebuild and it was still right there. I got it out when i removed the head and throwed it in the trash;)

Suspect it will be just fine in its new home. I wouldn't be loosing any sleep over it. There is just about no way it will ever get to the water pump.

Wow, guys, thats a big relief. I wasnt sure what kind of pressure the water jackets saw. I envisioned firing the motor up for the first time, and hearing that terrible metal on metal sound. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it!!
