has anyone used Herms dual res m/c? here are my questions

Herm said to cut my plunger because the stock one is too long. but if i cut my plunger the pedal will hit the bracket when engaged. if i leave it the way it is the pedal fully engages and does not hit anything. too cut or not too cut?

the plunger does not lock into the m/c. the old m/c had a c-clip that is removed and the plunger then can come out. Herm said that the old plunger will just sit in place with the new m/c. the pedal has no back stop so what keeps the plunger in place?

i will post pics if you need them.

so i took a grade 8 washer and cut a section out of it (looks like pacman) slid it over the plunger, placed the washer that came with the m/c on top to hold pacman in place, placed the c-clip back and bam, the plunger stays in place and does not pull out. thanks guys! :)
