I know a guy that has 5 16" rims for a 46-early 50's flat fender. I was wondering if this would be close to original rims for my 69 cj-5. Also can tubeless tires be mounted on these rims? Last ? what is a good price for 5 rims?

There's more expert opinions here than mine, but I "think" your '69 would have had 15" wheels, but 16" certainly may have been an option. They should work anyway. Original rims for yours probably would have had the nubs for hubcaps too, the flatty wheels won't. Probably $25-$35 each average price. If you can get 'em without shipping that's even better. I'm also assuming they'll need tubes, since the hubs are riveted to the rims.

Keep in mind they're most likely only 4-1/2" wide, so that will limit tire sizes.

Welcome to the "what-kind-of-wheels-were-original-for-my-Jeep-and-where-can-I-get-some?" world....it's a special kind of hell.

Oh wait, they might not fit over disc brakes, if you have those. Better test-fit them first if you can.

Was waiting to see how long it took Rondog ( aka Wheelman:D) to chime in here:D. I believe he's got it right.

Not really - you just pathetically want some 16" wheels with Grip Spurs on them ;)
