Well along with the fact that my heater blower motor, and windshild wiper motor are not connected my jeep also did not come with a turn signal assembly. Luckly the PO provided me with the one he was going to install so I have a bran new one sitting in a box ready to go (no idea of manufacture though)

I started tinkering around under the dash and going through my service manual on how to install this and connect the blower motor and wiper motors. However I am at a loss as to how these things get wired in. I have never been good with electrical stuff.

Can anyone help me on this one?

Can you read a wiring diagram? If not you should learn.

The complete 1974 factory manual (TSM) is online at www.oljeep.com - that's your best source for an accurate wiring diagram. Take a look there, then ...

Go to www.trailforge.com and look at the 1972 manual there. The '72 manual is different, in that the wiring is done with drawings rather than a diagram. The '72 manual will show you where the harness goes and where the components are located. The '72 is only generally the same as a '74. I would compare the specifics with the '74 manual diagram, to make sure nothing had changed.

I have a 73 wiring diagram in my manual that came with the jeep (mines a 73cj5) however the colors on the wires on the turn signal are different than what the diagram says.

I think I found a giant connector unit that might be where the turn signal is supposed to wire into. Is there a massive connection of wires all routed into a single connection unit that goes into the turn signal?

Ill include a pic of what Im talking about tonight.

Which manual? Haynes or Chiltons? Or the factory manual?

Look at the '72 manual I pointed you to! It has beautiful line drawings of the wiring. A '72, '73 or '74 will all have very similar wiring.

Its the Chiltons manual. Also I did look at the link you sent me, it has some great stuff! Lots of help with the windshield wiper motor.
