I have run into a problem. I had the original springs re-arched back about a year ago when I was working on the frame. Now that I have it all back together, they have flattened out. I didn't notice it till this morning. I just put the body on last week so all the weight is back on and now they are almost flat. It ticks me off because I sent $350 to rearch them. I could have almost bought new springs for that price. I called the spring shop and they said they could put another leaf in them, and I'll take it over there when I get it running

My question is, has anyone had and extra leaf put on the stock spings?

If all else fails, can you recommend a good new set with about 1.5" over in them?
I've seen the black diamonds on some rigs on here; are they good?

yes, but not on a jeep. it was a half ton pickup. and the spring came out from under a 2 ton truck, same width same length but a little stiffer and thicker. raised the truck about 3/4", ride was a little stiffer as well when empty. worked good though with no problems for the 15 years i ran it

I'll ditto what kaiser-willys said (except mine was a 3/4 ton crew cab pick-up and I used it for about 5 years afterwards).
