Is it Blasphemy?

My 1960 CJ-5, sans the newer BesTop is pretty much all original. I am getting rid of the hokey 1980's mag wheels and going back to original.

I just dropped off the 5 rims at the sandblaster today, and afterwords stopped at my local powder coater. Instead of just black or white for the rims, I am thinking of going with "antique white" which is a slightly cream color.

Any thoughts?

The original wheels (AFAIK) that were on my 65 were off white. In the photo they look whitey white but they are creamy white. I think they look fine. Remember, it's yours and you gotta like it.

 

And I vote for red...wonder why?

And as for Chrome.... You going to donate some rim dollars to the cause? hahaha

 

i dunno if youve seen mine but the top and wheels are wimbledon white. Much yellower than just a stark white if put side by side but you dont really notice when it stands alone. It looks real good

Off white wont show dirt like stark white.

Bright white will turn off white in time anyway. Might as well start out that way...
