I actually have a bunch of that bubble/foil stuff, can't recall what it's called. Reflectix? Something like that. Stuff that my packrat personality salvaged and dragged home. Supposed to be good insulation, I intend to put it on the floor joists in my crawl space to help insulate the kitchen/dining room floor from the frigid air in there.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the interior of my Willys, I'll cross that bridge in due time. But mine won't be a DD, just a toy. I certainly don't blame you for doing what you can to make yours more comfortable! Cold and noise sucks for sure. I wish I was closer so I could help ya with The Slug.

i like how it looks without anything on the floors
    no top
    yadda yadda.
but it's just not very useful that way.
someday when i grow up and have a regular car to drive daily and a garage to put the slug in..........

    p.s.
i must have accidentally grown up when i wasnt looking.
i got a welfare mom car.

I was thinking of this thread today when I was pondering sound deadening and heatproofing my Jeep for the summer. I can already feel the heat coming off my floorboards and the noise is borderline unbearable. I stumbled upon http://www.lobucrod.com/ and it made me think of you Bill... It looks like this stuff would be right up your alley for your half cab, and it claims that it won't trap moisture like other products. Looks similar to the bubblewrap foil stuff, but its a poly foam.

I hope it's ok to post the link otherwise I'd be glad to take it off.

i tore that bubble stuff out when i removed the 1/2 cab for the summer.
it is so cheap it's disposable.
