    i found this online .
    is it correct?
i need to adjust the valves on the slug but i have only done it once before and i forgot how to do it.

Austin provided the following information: "Cold clearance: intake valves .018 of an inch; exhaust valves .016 of an inch.

"With number one exhaust valve fully raised, adjust number eight exhaust valve.
With number three intake valve fully raised, adjust number six intake valve.
With number five exhaust valve fully raised, adjust number four exhaust valve.
With number two intake valve fully raised, adjust number seven intake valve.
With number eight exhaust valve fully raised, adjust number one exhaust valve.
With number six intake valve fully raised, adjust number three intake valve.
With number four exhaust valve fully raised, adjust number five exhaust valve.
With number seven intake valve fully raised, adjust number two intake valve."

my FSM tells me how important it is.
gives me the numbers. .016 and .018
and that is just about it.
no sequence or anything like that.
but it also assumes that i am an actual mechanic....

    BTW i keep searching here
and more often than not i get this on links others have provided. to previous questions.

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
