I tired to google this and haven't came up with anything. I am selling the rear axle out of my partster and was curious if one of my Early Cj axles will bolt up to the commando so I can keep it rolling. I have several early cj rear axles and one amc 20 axle laying around.

You will have to move the spring perches as the Commando ones are outboard of the frame where the CJ are under the frame. I'm not sure if all the AMC 20s are centered pumpkin, but you will need that for the Commando also.

As Enos says the perches are different but if you just need it in there to roll around your partster then you're probably not too worried about that.

Ah, missed the part about just needing it in there to roll it around...should be able to bolt just about anything under there

If the AMC 20 is out of a CJ5 or pre 82 CJ-7, the width and spring perch spacing should be correct for a Commando (50.5" WMS dimension). If you decide to use the AMC 20, do yourself a favor and install a 1-piece flanged axle set and weld the axle tubes to the centersection. The stock 2 piece axles are known for stripping out the hubs and the axle tubes have been know to slip in the diff housing. Modified as such, the AMC 20 is argueably as strong or stronger as a Dana 44.
