Anti wrap spring ideas

That's the same basic thing that Chuck (oldjeep) sent me. That's actually a pretty good idea. It's too bad I don't have the tube bender to bend the truss bar around the diff housing, or the welder for welding cast iron (I do have the welder at work though).

I think I'll try the leaf spring setup first, just to see if it will help a little. If not I'll have to rearrange my fuel system to make room for the ladder bar setup.

 

Just a shot in the dark here, what about a trac bar?
Also John what YJ pack did you use? I know a few guys with YJs with SOA and they have no wrap issues.

 

I used the 5 leaf pack front and rear on mine. Still not sure about any kind of bar because of a lack of room. As a last resort if the extra leaf idea doesn't work I'll rearrange the underside to make a bar work.

 

Next time I see or talk to one of them I'll ask what they did for spring wrap.

The Jeep in the arty has shackles at both ends of the spring. Also shows some trick ladder bars outside the springs.
