Speedo overhaul

    This morning on my way to coffee the CJ's speedo started making noise and jumping from 20-60. I pulled over and pulled the cable loose and continued on thinking I was in for a new speedo. When I got home I pulled it out of the dash and found it was real hard to turn. It amazes me how simple all the mechanical things are on these old Jeeps. I was able to completely disassemble it clean and lube everything and put it back together, works like a champ. Wonder if it will last another 85,000 miles. Mike
