Just got my JEEP back together from painting it a few days ago. it is now Massy Ferguson gray (love the color), The paint is from Tractor supply. it's not perfect. I am far from a painter, but it suites me and my needs.

Thank you guys!!! it's my 2nd paint job I have done. I used the regular Series paint. And I think it sprayed on really nice. They even have rattle cans of the same color so if I bang it up which I'm sure will happen I can fix it pretty easy.

Did you put any kind of hardener in the paint or just shoot it straight?

    beware of the rattle cans.
i went through 4 different brands of rattle paint looking for a match to the gallon i bought.
    one of them was perfect.
a year later the spray paint changed color and dont match no more!

i am covering that paint up tomorrow with a brush .
luckily i still have 1/2 gallon left.

Yes I used the hardener. If the rattle cans don't match I better keep it out of the tree limbs and stuff huh lol.

An automotive paint store can put any color you want into a spray can, but its NOT cheap. I had to do this with mine when I couldn't match the PPG "Viper Red" on my Jeep.

Yes they can put it in a spray can but can they put the hardener in with it, as that is what gives it the shine?

The only paint the paint stores can put into a spray can is fast dry enamel, which does not have a hardener. Shine is pretty close, but not quite the same as paint with hardener.

I use the Van Sickle stuff sold at Big R. The Gals match the spray bombs exactly. We did Brandons in AC Orange with a Black Grill and Windshield. Mine is MF Red.

I thinned the paint @ 4:1 and just shot it. The hardner makes it a bit more hazardous so I have a good resperator as I plan to try that on a trailer sometime later in the summer.

i used diamond vogel glossy enamel.
    this is some tough stuff.
i didnt thin it or use hardener.
after painting i parked it in the sun for about 2 weeks.
i dropped a 3lb. hammer on the fender (not on purpose)
it didnt do ANYTHING to the paint.

    Jason,

The third and four pictures look great, but the first and second pictures, well?
I guess I need a new monitor because I thought you must have pimped your ride. The whole Jeep looks purple, bright purple. The last pictures look gray and a great paint color. But I don't know about the first two.
