hello again, you guys have been a great help. i have a 67 roadster, v6, 3 speed tranny. my clutch pedal is very stiff. any way to adjust this? my service manuel mentions clutch adjustment for the 4 cyl but not the v6. also are there different pressure plates available? i am assuming that is what is making it too stiff. thanks

Don't know what set-up the roadster has on the clutch mechanics. Is it rod, cable, chain or hydraulic? Many complaints are due to lack of grease on the main shaft. I have seen where mud/dust/oil build-up on the input shaft housing that the throughout bearing slides on would cause that problem. Pic's of your clutch linkage setup would help.

There's two possible stock configurations it could be. The original uses a cross shaft at the transfer case to the frame and a short cable between it and the fork. There was an updated setup that deleted the cross shaft and the short cable and added a bracket to the transfer case for a single cable. Adjustment procedure is different depending on which set up you have. If you have a cross shaft the procedure "should" be the same as for the 4 cylinder. It's very important that the cross shaft be set up properly, leverage is everything.
The procedure for non cross shaft should be in the later TSM. I'm not sure what year exactly they brought out the up grade, thinking 68/69? My manual is a 69/70 so not sure if the set up for the non CS is in it or not.

Mine was getting very hard to work, take off the cable if you can and soak it in oil and slide it back and forth. took a little while but it works great now. DON'T break it I looked for a replacement at first.....not a good search.
