Ok, this sounds like a newbie question but... The two bars that run from the firewall to the radiator, (hence radiator supports) what are these actually called and where can I get new ones... One of mine literally fell off (read rusted in half!)... Thanks!

They are called Stay Rods. Those are very important. They hold the grill and fenders in place. That way the frame can flex and the Body, hood, grill can pivot on the center rubber mount at the bottom of the grill. With out those, over time the fenders will develop cracks down the front corners.

The stay rods on my 1969 DJ5A were small diameter solid rods with little tabs on the firewall that looked like thin gauge 1" angle iron, they were threaded on the radiator end. Intermediates have similar firewall tabs from pictures I have seen.
The stay rods from the 1969 CJ5 where a larger diameter, flattened and cross drilled at the firewall side and threaded on the radiator side. The firewall brackets are two piece teardrops that have the holes toward the drivers side. The passenger side is higher (closer to the hood). I think the bracket that bolts to the inside of the firewall and holds the somewhat lower driver's side on, is not a hood hinge support, but is really a firewall support for the weight of the cantilevered heater core.
I have misplaced those somewhere in the garage. They may or may not be solid.
The ones I got off a 1965 CJ5 are hollow tube and different side to side. One end is round all the way to the firewall attachment, the other is flattened for the last 4 inches or so. Turns out from studying photos, that feature is to clear the passenger side firewall mounted oil bath air cleaner. In my mockup to mount the CJ5 tabs to ours, I guessed wrong. Easy enough to fix if the rusty end doesn't twist off.

Here is a picture of my custom Stay Rods from a 1936 Ford. The angle is from a Nissan.
