I need someone here to do me a favor. I bought some power steering brackets from ebay and think something is missing. The brackets are for a 3.8 and I have bolted them on to my Dauntless but I cannot figure out how the pump bolts into them.
What I really need is a picture of someone elses set up so I can see what I am doing wrong or what I am missing.
So if anyone out there has a Dauntless with ps I would really appreciate it if you would post me a pic or two.

    Thanks

PS: I know it would be nice if I posted a pic of what i've got but I am on dial up and having trouble with my phone line so it would take about a day just to upload a picture.::cry:

This is off of a 3.8 liter buick motor, 83 Buick regal.

The part where the fuel lines run thru was where the alternator or smog pump bolted on, I cut those ears off.

That bracket looks like mine but I can't figure out how the pump bolts into it. I suspect that I need another bracket part that bolts to the pump under the pully and then to the main bracket. Does this sound right?

You have a front piece and a back piece. The back piece bolts to the block. The front piece pivots around the bolt on the far left and the other 2 bolts have curved slotted holes to tighten the assembly up with.

Went and looked at my bracket again. It is nothing like yours. Guess I'll start over and see if I can find the right bracket.

Studied your picture some more and now I realize that I have the back piece but no front piece.
