I am working on installing a buick even fire v6 with a ford t18 mated to a Dana 18 transfer case using the universal advanced adapters engine motor mounts into my 1958 CJ6. Couple of questions, do I need to moved the radiator mount closer to the grill or can I keep it in the stock position? Do I need to do any firewall mods or should it all fit without any mods? Also do I need to move the front cross memeber? I am doing a saginaw steering conversion and the jeep has a 4" lift using rancho springs. I am trying to make sure I get the conversion right the first time. So that is why I am asking the questions. I have read I need to move the engine over to the drivers side one inch. But first I am trying to get the front back placement correct along with the correct height.

Thanks I have been thru their site. So I am assuming most of the swaps like I am going to do retain the stock radiator support crossmember and housing that goes from the grill to radiator. I am just curious on what other people have done with the CJ 5 and CJ 6. From what I have read, engine placement really comes down to what you want to do and there isn't any exact placement that works for everyone.
