Exciter Wire '70 CJ5 (Where to?)

Im rewiring with the EZ wire kit, it has the exciter wire which I have no idea where it connects. I have the dauntless and the motorola regulator and alternator. The ALT has the battery post which is jumped w/ two other posts on the lower left, a blade terminal on top which I know is field and two ground posts on the lower right. Anyone able to help me out on where the exciter wire goes? Thanks!

 

I cannot help you specifically but when I installed my EZ Wire I called them about my Alt. and they were super helpful and patient. Maybe worth a try!
I have a GM Diagram they provided for both "Early and Late" Alt types. It is on page 9 of my book.

 

On the back of the Motorola alt you have the Bat wire goes on the big stud and you have a wire from the regulator that connects to a small stud on the diode plate (maybe grey) and the exciter wire which comes from your chg indicator light will connect to the same small terminal as the wire from the reg (both grey on mine) and the diode assy is red.

 

Thanks Walt! Thats what I was thinking, actually it was my only choice unless I wanted to put it on a ground terminal. Thanks for the sanity check!
