Anyone here used the AA windshield latches on a new windshield? I have a lot of gap to fill in to make em work. Looks like I may have to grind the latch down to make it work. Any pics of install out there?

I used .25 inch aluminum bar stock for spacers.

Did you put it between the part thats mounted to the dash and the windshield? I was thinking of just shaving down the part that's attached to the winshield (and it looks to be about a 1/4"!). Do you have a picture?

I had to use spacer also. I installed the spacers between the dash metal and the piece that bolts to the dash. On my 74 I found the windshield was pulling back with the soft top on and had to build a spacer to keep from tweeking my windsheild frame out.

Would there be any particular reason as to not shave the windshield mounted part down? Looks like if I shave off 1/4" it would then snug up everything just right. I'll try to get pics tomorrow and show what i'm talking about.

After taking about a 1/4" off the best I could get is shown the last picture. I used a lock washer for a spacer between the two mounts(should be able to see it)..

Will the brackt hold up now that I shaved some off?

is your windshield frame sitting were it should be? I mean the top not just the bottom. I used spacers because I wanted my windshield to line up correctly so my soft top and doors fit correctly. if your windshield is tipped to far back the doors will ride on your windshield frame and not in their channel.

Haven't got that far along yet.........I have about three projects on the jeep going on at once. Windshield brackets, leaking intake manifold, and electric fans!!! I haven't even considered the windshield leaning too far back.....what kind of measurement should I be taking and from what points are they made?
